New leaked chassis shows the Cupertino-based giant’s upcoming flagship will be launched in three colours, including Dark Cherry, Cloud Blue, and Black. Over and above, it looks like Apple has taken a complete U-turn on using Titanium frames for its flagship and will retain the same aluminium frame for iPhone 18 Pro.
Among the three colour variants, the darker red or wine-inspired Dark Cherry variant might be chosen as the flagship variant, similar to how we got to see Apple iPhone 17 Pro’s Cosmic Orange last year.
Apart from the Dark Cherry, the color palette for the iPhone 18 Pro models includes Cloud Blue and Black. For the Cloud Blue variant, Cupertino Giant is going for a brighter shade but a little darker compared to the Mist Blue variant of the existing iPhone 17 model.
Last but not least, the iPhone 18 Pro will also come in a Dark Black colour variant, which will be a suitable fit for users who prefer dark colours over other shades like matte black and space gray, which were previously released.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro – Leaked Specifications and Features – Major Camera Upgrades?
Ahead of launch, there are many other leaks and rumors floating around about the specifications and features starting with the display part, Apple might be taking the same route used for its previous models, where we will see the iPhone 18 Pro to get a 6.3 LTPO panel and the iPhone 18 Pro Max to get a bigger 6.9-inch panel.
Apple’s dynamic island was first introduced in 2022, and fast forward to 2026, there are rumors hinting towards moving to a Punch hole camera setup where the camera will be placed on the top left side, and the face ID sensors will be placed beneath, adding more room for the screen, and also the bezels will get even slimmer.
The major upgrades are expected in the camera department, where the new pro models for 2026 will get support for a “moving aperture lens,” also known as “variable aperture.”
This aperture will be added to help users get control over taking pictures on a wider scale with improved depth of field.
There are also rumors that Apple has developed a three-stack-layer image sensor for iPhone 18 Pro models, which will work to enhance dynamic range, reduce image noise, and speed up image processing.
Talking about speed and processing, the iPhone 18 Pro models will be getting their power from the next-gen A20 Pro chipset, which is developed under TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process, making it the most efficient chip ever developed.
In the battery department, too, we can expect a boost, especially with a new processor; the iPhone 18 Pro is set to last longer than the iPhone 17 Pro models. The iPhone 18 Pro will be running on iOS 27 out of the box, which is set to launch for this WWDC 2026 on 8th June 2026.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro model – Launch and Expected Pricing
As far as pricing is concerned, there were rumors that we will see the iPhone 18 Pro models get a price hike, especially with the current situation, where RAM costs are skyrocketing, and Apple has made a heavy investment in the development of the variable aperture sensor.
However, considering the competition with other Android flagship phone makers like Samsung, there is a chance that the Cupertino giant will consider absorbing the additional cost and replace the existing iPhone 17 Pro models with the new one. This is yet to be officially confirmed.
As per Apple’s timeline, we can expect the launch date to be announced in the mids of August, and the launch date will be set somewhere in September.
We will be posting more updates on iPhone 18 Pro models in the near future and will be covering live updates on WWDC 2026 as well. Stay tuned with us on TelecomTalk.
